A retreat with Charles Eisenstein, Philo, CA. April 15-18
This gathering is a transmission or an attunement to a new story of self and world: the self of interbeing, living in the spirit of the Gift.
Cognitively, we will embed the crises converging upon us today within a vast metahistorical context; experientially, we will translate the heart's knowing -- that a more beautiful world is possible -- into embodied, living belief.
Something will crystallize within you, and never again will you doubt what you know or think that maybe it is you, and not the world, that has gone mad. With the power of word, attention, and presence, we are gathering to catalyze the next step of the revolution in human beingness.
The multiple crises converging on our planet today are birthing humanity into a new era. Everything is changing: the money system, medicine, politics, education, business, and humanity's relationship to the planetary ecosystem. It is time to embody and enact the new way of thinking, relating, and being that is in alignment with the coming world.
The overarching theme of the seminar is the Gift. Primitive societies were all gift-based; a community and an ecosystem is a matrix of gifts, as is the human body. Life itself is a gift, granted to us without us having to deserve it. Thus we have an inborn gratitude that seeks expression in our own giving. We desire to give of our gifts, and to use them for a sacred purpose. Any job or relationship that does not engage our gifts and apply them toward something beautiful will eventually deaden the spirit. To be fully alive, and to create the miracles necessary in the coming times, we must step more and more deeply into the spirit of the gift. Part of this spirit is to bring it to other people too: to create a space for others to discover and apply their own gifts. Such is the essence of leadership; such is the genesis of community.
The essence of this seminar is a transmission of the Spirit of the Gift. It is a kind of initiation, a quickening. What was once intuition will become knowledge; what was once knowledge will become embodied action. The time of loneliness on the path, the time of wondering if maybe we are crazy, the time of feeling alone in our intuitions against a world hostile to the Gift, is over. This seminar will bring you clarity about your gifts, new confidence in their power, and an unconquerable determination to live them.
Living in the Gift is not primarily for those who still believe in the world presented us as normal, nor for those who reject the world-that-has-been but can see no alternative. It is mostly for people who are already active in creating a more beautiful world, who are already stepping into their own gifts, and who are ready to take their creativity and service to a new level.
