Healing Work

Recently I have been working more and more with people one-on-one as a healer, or more accurately, as an agent of their own self-healing. They call me into their lives as a vehicle for something that they need, especially relating to anxiety, depression, addiction, obesity, and health crises.

I work by email, by phone, and face-to-face. The Ascent of Humanity provides the context for my healing work, which consists in ending some aspect of the war against the self, the interior version of humanity's separation from nature. However, each interaction is absolutely unique. Each time, I feel like it is my first time. I have no general technique to apply. I am best sought out when nothing else has worked, when you are desperate, when you feel no one could possibly understand your situation or offer a solution. I will not reinforce a story of misery. I will say unexpected things, often unexpected even by myself. I am guided by intuition and not technique.

I do not charge money for my healing work. Traditionally, people would come to a healer bearing a gift. Some people feel more comfortable working with me if they pay me a normal counseling rate of perhaps $75. Others, in financial difficulty, pay less; some people give me more because it feels right. Some people give nothing at all, and I welcome that too, especially if you need the experience that the universe is generous for no reason. Usually though, it is beneficial to pay something. Payment is a ritual that signals to the unconscious that you are doing this for real. Also, it prevents any lingering sense of obligation. The right amount will leave you feeling clear, as when you give a perfectly appropriate gift at a wedding or birthday.

Ultimately I make no disinction between a friend and a client: there is just a continuum of interaction. I am not a healer or a teacher, I am just a human being used as an agent of healing or teaching. My job is to remind people of what they already know, and give them permission to do what they really want to do. If you think I may be the agent of your own healing or learning, I invite you to contact me. I have absolutely no health care credentials. You have nothing to go on but your intuition, the feeling you get from my writing. If I am not meant for that role as agent of your healing, our interaction will be perhaps a short, friendly (or unfriendly) exchange of ideas, which is fine.
